What is Period Poverty?\u00a0<\/strong>Period poverty describes\u00a0the struggle many low-income women and girls face while trying to afford menstrual products. The term also refers to the increased economic vulnerability women and girls face due the financial burden posed by menstrual supplies.<\/p>\n How does this affect students in Illinois?<\/strong>\u00a0Many 4-12 grade students receive supplies from their school during the school year but they are on their own in the summer, so we want to help. How?
