Durante d\u00e9cadas, la gran mayor\u00eda de las escuelas han seleccionado el 5\u00ba grado como el a\u00f1o para la educaci\u00f3n de la pubertad, con muchas escuelas esperando hasta el final del 5\u00ba grado para hablar con los estudiantes sobre este tema importante y sensible. Sin embargo, seg\u00fan WebMD, \"de media, la pubertad empieza antes en EE.UU. que en el pasado. La edad media de la menstruaci\u00f3n se ha mantenido m\u00e1s o menos igual. Pero los estudios sugieren que los primeros signos -como el desarrollo de los senos- se est\u00e1n produciendo un a\u00f1o antes que hace d\u00e9cadas.\"\u00a0\u00a0<b>Entonces, \u00bfsignifica esto que las escuelas deber\u00edan considerar la posibilidad de adelantar su calendario de educaci\u00f3n sobre la pubertad?  Es algo que sin duda merece la pena considerar.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-12650 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Puberty_Clock-605x605-1-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>La pubertad es una etapa que conlleva muchos cambios f\u00edsicos y emocionales para los j\u00f3venes. Los alumnos han compartido con nosotros sus sentimientos de temor ante los cambios que se producir\u00e1n durante esta etapa de sus vidas. La pubertad puede comenzar a los ocho a\u00f1os en las personas con \u00f3rganos reproductores femeninos y a los nueve en las personas con \u00f3rganos reproductores masculinos.  Al comienzo de los 5<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Muchos alumnos ya est\u00e1n experimentando los cambios de la pubertad.  Si\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">todav\u00eda no<\/a>\u00a0Si no reciben informaci\u00f3n sobre el tema, a menudo se quedan mal equipadas para entender lo que le ocurre a su cuerpo y carecen de estrategias para gestionar los cambios, como la menstruaci\u00f3n, con confianza.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">A menudo los j\u00f3venes se sienten\u00a0<i>s\u00f3lo<\/i>\u00a0los que experimentan estos cambios f\u00edsicos y emocionales. Los ni\u00f1os necesitan saber que son \"normales\", independientemente de cu\u00e1ndo o c\u00f3mo experimenten los cambios de la pubertad.  Mediante una educaci\u00f3n de calidad sobre la pubertad, los j\u00f3venes aprenden que todos pasar\u00e1n por la pubertad, pero cada uno a su propio ritmo.  Educar a los j\u00f3venes sobre los cambios de la pubertad y las estrategias para afrontarlos.\u00a0<i>antes de<\/i>\u00a0pueden contribuir en gran medida a que se sientan m\u00e1s tranquilos y c\u00f3modos con lo que est\u00e1 por venir.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Es normal que los j\u00f3venes sientan curiosidad por la pubertad y la sexualidad, y podemos ayudar a responder a las preguntas de los estudiantes con honestidad y precisi\u00f3n, llegando a ellos antes de tiempo. Cuanto m\u00e1s tardemos en ofrecer educaci\u00f3n sobre la pubertad a los alumnos, m\u00e1s probable ser\u00e1 que busquen respuestas por su cuenta.  Esto puede suponer que recojan informaci\u00f3n (err\u00f3nea) de sus compa\u00f1eros o que busquen en Internet para tratar de averiguar lo que les ocurre, lo que les deja a un par de clics de acceder a la pornograf\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Adelantar el calendario de la educaci\u00f3n sobre la pubertad en su centro de ense\u00f1anza puede ayudar a que m\u00e1s alumnos reciban informaci\u00f3n fundamental a tiempo y se sientan menos inc\u00f3modos y confusos.\u00a0<\/b>Si en su centro se imparte educaci\u00f3n sobre la pubertad al final de 5\u00ba curso, \u00bftendr\u00eda sentido hacerlo al principio del curso o al final de 4\u00ba?
