Recuerdo v\u00edvidamente las escaleras alfombradas de las aulas del antiguo centro situado en el 21 de Salt Creek Lane, en Hinsdale. Tambi\u00e9n recuerdo haber participado en los programas de educaci\u00f3n sexual que segu\u00edan al programa de pubertad \"Linda\".<\/p>\n<p>Salud era mi clase favorita en la escuela primaria. No me cansaba de informarme sobre este tema y estudiaba con diligencia y obten\u00eda una nota perfecta en la clase de salud de sexto curso de la se\u00f1orita Connor. Le\u00eda art\u00edculos y<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-244821 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Barb_5thGrade-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/> informaci\u00f3n por mi cuenta y me ha gustado aprender sobre el cuerpo humano durante toda mi vida.<\/p>\n<p>En diciembre de 2024, no s\u00f3lo he asistido a los programas de Robert Crown, sino que mis hijos tambi\u00e9n han pasado por ellos y ahora dirijo el equipo que presenta esta informaci\u00f3n a los estudiantes. He visto estos programas una y otra vez a lo largo de mi vida, y puedo decir honestamente que\u00a0<em>Los educadores sanitarios de Candor son realmente insuperables.<\/em>\u00a0Una de las mayores alegr\u00edas de mi trabajo es ir a las aulas y ver a nuestros educadores sanitarios en acci\u00f3n. Preparan el terreno para los alumnos reconociendo que las conversaciones sobre la pubertad, la educaci\u00f3n sexual y el abuso de sustancias pueden ser inc\u00f3modas. Les dicen que est\u00e1 bien re\u00edrse y hacer preguntas, pero todo ello en un entorno respetuoso. Nuestros programas est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para ayudar a los alumnos a aprender a mantener conversaciones dif\u00edciles con sus adultos de confianza. Cuanto m\u00e1s c\u00f3modos se sientan los alumnos con estos temas dif\u00edciles, m\u00e1s capaces ser\u00e1n de cuidar de sus cuerpos cambiantes y de entender c\u00f3mo apoyar a otros que tienen cuerpos diferentes. Todo forma parte de un proceso que ayuda a los j\u00f3venes a ganar empat\u00eda y a ser respetuosos con todos.<\/p>\n<p>La pubertad ha formado parte de la vida desde el principio de los tiempos. Lo que ha cambiado desde 1974, cuando empezamos a ense\u00f1ar a m\u00e1s de 80.000 alumnos, es el entorno que nos rodea. Los j\u00f3venes de hoy necesitan ayuda para navegar por su complicado mundo. Hemos infundido en todos nuestros programas el desarrollo de habilidades y la toma de decisiones para que, independientemente de la situaci\u00f3n en la que se encuentre un joven, disponga de herramientas que le ayuden a superar los retos de la adolescencia.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00ed, los ni\u00f1os quieren tomar sus propias decisiones, pero quieren informaci\u00f3n honesta y veraz que les ayude a tomarlas. El cuerpo humano es una m\u00e1quina incre\u00edble. Los ni\u00f1os son curiosos por naturaleza y quieren entender lo que ocurre en sus cerebros y cuerpos en su transici\u00f3n a la edad adulta. Nunca me sorprende aprender informaci\u00f3n adicional cada vez que observo a los Educadores de la Salud de Candor haciendo su magia con los estudiantes.  Los programas de Candor y nuestros Educadores de la Salud altamente cualificados ayudan a garantizar que los j\u00f3venes tengan todas las herramientas y la informaci\u00f3n que necesitan para mantenerse felices, sanos y seguros. Casi siempre que he observado un programa sobre la pubertad, he o\u00eddo a uno de los alumnos decir: \"No ha sido tan malo como pensaba\".
