{"id":6866,"date":"2020-01-13T10:12:24","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T16:12:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/?p=6866"},"modified":"2020-01-13T10:12:24","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T16:12:24","slug":"ignorance-is-not-bliss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/es\/ignorance-is-not-bliss\/","title":{"rendered":"La ignorancia no es felicidad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Para los padres, puede ser un momento angustioso cuando su hijo empieza a alcanzar la edad en la que tiene edad suficiente para aprender sobre el embarazo y las infecciones de transmisi\u00f3n sexual (ITS). El ni\u00f1o no s\u00f3lo necesita comprender las formas en que pueden producirse, sino tambi\u00e9n la importancia de la prevenci\u00f3n. Abordar este tema con un hijo puede ser estresante, y muchos padres se sienten como si no estuvieran lo suficientemente bien equipados para responder preguntas o discutir este tema; que, a pesar de muchos esfuerzos por normalizar, a menudo todav\u00eda se considera \"tab\u00fa\". Estas preocupaciones son comunes y comprensibles, pero los padres que hacen algo tan sencillo como dar permiso para que sus hijos aprendan estos temas en la escuela o en otras instituciones no s\u00f3lo se est\u00e1n facilitando la situaci\u00f3n a s\u00ed mismos, sino que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n permitiendo que sus hijos reciban la mejor educaci\u00f3n posible, especialmente si el plan de estudios ofrecido abarca tanto la educaci\u00f3n sexual como la anticoncepci\u00f3n. <em>y<\/em> educaci\u00f3n sexual basada en la abstinencia.<\/p>\n<p>La Ley de Educaci\u00f3n Sexual Integral de Illinois (HB 2675) ha sido promulgada desde el oto\u00f1o de 2016. Esta ley establece que un curso o clase de educaci\u00f3n sexual ofrecido a partir del 6<sup>th<\/sup> hasta el 12<sup>th<\/sup> debe incluir la ense\u00f1anza tanto de la abstinencia como de los m\u00e9todos anticonceptivos para la prevenci\u00f3n de embarazos e ITS. Esta ley tambi\u00e9n establece que en las escuelas p\u00fablicas la abstinencia debe ense\u00f1arse como una decisi\u00f3n positiva, pero no como la \"\u00fanica opci\u00f3n.\"<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1432\" src=\"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/iStock_000016300857_Full-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>La actividad sexual es una parte normal y natural de la vida, y 95% de las personas mantendr\u00e1n relaciones sexuales en alg\u00fan momento de su vida. En \u00faltima instancia, esto significa que, como sociedad, deber\u00edamos ofrecer la educaci\u00f3n sexual m\u00e1s completa posible a los alumnos para que puedan tomar decisiones informadas y seguras por s\u00ed mismos, en lugar de mantener la mentalidad de que la mejor y \u00fanica opci\u00f3n es decir a los alumnos que eviten (o se abstengan) de estas actividades. No podemos vivir en una falsa realidad en la que creamos que los ni\u00f1os seguir\u00e1n siendo ni\u00f1os para siempre.<\/p>\n<p>La abstinencia sigue siendo esencial para ense\u00f1ar la prevenci\u00f3n del embarazo y la transmisi\u00f3n de ITS, ya que es la \u00fanica 100% manera eficaz de prevenir estos resultados.* Sin embargo, si se centra s\u00f3lo en este m\u00e9todo de prevenci\u00f3n, los alumnos se estar\u00e1n perdiendo informaci\u00f3n vital que realmente necesitar\u00e1n para la vida, parte de la cual puede salvarles la vida. Esta educaci\u00f3n es esencial para todas las personas, independientemente del momento de su vida en que se encuentren o de su identidad u orientaci\u00f3n. Aprender esta informaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s pronto que tarde permitir\u00e1 a los estudiantes ser capaces de tomar decisiones sanas e informadas no s\u00f3lo para s\u00ed mismos, sino tambi\u00e9n para sus parejas. As\u00ed que, aunque algunos piensen que la educaci\u00f3n sexual se ense\u00f1a a los ni\u00f1os a una edad demasiado temprana, para algunos estudiantes puede ser demasiado tarde si, como sociedad, esperamos a ense\u00f1ar esta informaci\u00f3n cuando les parezca m\u00e1s \"relevante\".<\/p>\n<p>Una educaci\u00f3n sexual completa, que incluya tanto anticonceptivos como abstinencia, es vital para todos, especialmente para los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes. La ignorancia no es una bendici\u00f3n cuando se trata de educaci\u00f3n sexual.
