Mi pasi\u00f3n por estos temas me llev\u00f3 a unirme al Equipo de Embajadores del Bienestar Estudiantil (SWAT) de la Universidad Estatal de Illinois, que est\u00e1 formado por estudiantes voluntarios (de diversas especialidades) que reciben formaci\u00f3n continua del personal de Promoci\u00f3n de la Salud y Bienestar sobre diferentes temas relacionados con el bienestar.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestra formaci\u00f3n nos prepara para actuar como recursos cre\u00edbles para el profesorado y los compa\u00f1eros de estudios, ya que nuestro objetivo es promover comportamientos y estilos de vida saludables mediante la asistencia a proyectos de divulgaci\u00f3n en el campus y la comunidad, la dotaci\u00f3n de personal en el \"Punto G\" - un mirador port\u00e1til de bienestar que proporciona informaci\u00f3n relacionada con la salud sexual, y la facilitaci\u00f3n de talleres educativos interactivos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-9898 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/candorhealthed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/college-students1077x856-300x238.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He observado que los programas de salud sexual presentados por Candor Health Education son muy similares a los talleres de salud sexual presentados por SWAT, en cuanto a la adaptaci\u00f3n del plan de estudios a la edad y tambi\u00e9n en los objetivos generales.<\/p>\n<p>Estos son algunos de los objetivos que esperamos alcanzar con uno de nuestros talleres SWAT.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\"Under the Covers\" pretende que los alumnos sean capaces de:\n<ul>\n<li>Comprender la definici\u00f3n de consentimiento (y c\u00f3mo interpreta esta ley el estado de Illinois).<\/li>\n<li>Inf\u00f3rmese sobre los recursos disponibles en el campus para ayudarle con sus necesidades de salud y bienestar.<\/li>\n<li>Distinguir entre una relaci\u00f3n sana y una no sana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Creo que para mantener a los ni\u00f1os, adolescentes y j\u00f3venes preparados, educados y seguros necesitan informaci\u00f3n completa, directa, honesta y actualizada.<\/p>\n<p>La educaci\u00f3n sexual integral continua puede abarcar diversos temas, desde la pubertad, la dieta, el ejercicio y la salud mental hasta los embarazos no deseados, las infecciones de transmisi\u00f3n sexual, la violencia sexual y la agresi\u00f3n\/acoso sexual. Seg\u00fan los Centros para el Control y la Prevenci\u00f3n de Enfermedades (CDC), en el momento en que los j\u00f3venes se grad\u00faan en el instituto, 38% han tenido relaciones sexuales, 46% por ciento de los estudiantes sexualmente activos no utilizaron preservativo la \u00faltima vez que tuvieron relaciones sexuales, y 21% bebieron alcohol o tomaron drogas antes de su \u00faltima relaci\u00f3n sexual.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan los CDC, los beneficios de iniciar la educaci\u00f3n sexual antes que despu\u00e9s har\u00e1n que los ni\u00f1os:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retrasar el inicio de las relaciones sexuales<\/li>\n<li>Tener menos parejas sexuales<\/li>\n<li>Tener menos relaciones sexuales sin protecci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Aumentar el uso de protecci\u00f3n, en concreto de preservativos.<\/li>\n<li>Mejorar su rendimiento acad\u00e9mico.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de necesitar informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica actualizada, los ni\u00f1os tambi\u00e9n necesitan el apoyo de sus compa\u00f1eros\/adultos. Establecer un entorno seguro y de apoyo para la educaci\u00f3n sexual con los alumnos requiere tres factores principales:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Conectividad escolar<\/li>\n<li>Control parental<\/li>\n<li>Buena comunicaci\u00f3n entre padres y adolescentes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Por desgracia, me he encontrado con muchos estudiantes universitarios que han tenido consecuencias negativas para su salud por no haber recibido educaci\u00f3n sexual durante su infancia.
