How do we expect kids to make good decisions about sex and substance use if they don’t have all the information? One decision can have a dramatic outcome on a student’s life.

Our goal is to provide Health Education for All.

With your support, we will help educate all students about sex and drugs. More education can lead to better decisions.

The Candor Health Education focuses on Primary Prevention Education. Quite simply, if you provide information before it’s needed, you’re more likely to prevent unwanted behavior.

Our Substance Abuse Prevention and Puberty and Sex Education programs are delivered in schools and use age appropriate language and detail to lay the foundation for students to make healthy decisions. All Candor Health Education programming meets state learning standards and national health priorities.

Candor Health Education primary prevention education classes are geared toward elementary and middle schools students focusing on:

4th-8th Grade is the Critical Time to Educate on Sex & Substance Abuse

Adolescence is a time for development and discovery, which can be both positive and challenging. As teens try to find their own identity, they make choices that affect their health, both now and in the future. Experimentation is happening at an earlier age and increases as students enter high school. Therefore, it is critical to arm them with the facts BEFORE their high school years, so they have a better chance of staying healthy and graduating from school without major road blocks.

Support Health Education for ALL

The Health Ed for All Fund allows students, teachers and parents the opportunity to receive primary prevention programming at little or no charge. The Candor Health Education educators will teach students in Chicagoland area schools where there are higher rates of teen pregnancy, STIs and where they see substance abuse every day.

We need your support to continue to provide programming to students and school districts that can’t afford it. You can make a difference in these student’s lives.
