PUBERTY II-NAVIGATING CHANGES – Grades 5-6

Take a look at a short video for an overview of our new puberty programming:

This class picks up where Understanding Changes leaves off, focusing on the effects of the changes that occur during puberty. With additional information on both the male and female anatomy, students will explore the concept of respect for themselves and others. Difficult topics such as sexual harassment and sexting are explored through age-appropriate scenarios. To enroll in this class, students must have taken our former Linda/Michael class or Puberty 1-UNDERSTANDING CHANGES program.

Program Goals:
Students will:

  • Demonstrate ways to maintain healthy relationships
  • Identify functions of reproductive organs
  • Recognize the role hormones play during puberty
  • Identify strategies for staying safe on-line
